Pure pastry

Last Thursday I went into the land of milk and honey or should I say into the candy house from Hansel and Gretel? Well,  it felt a little bit like paradise at the opening of Pure Pastry at the Carlsplatz in Düsseldorf. Alena (from the blog St3rnenstaub) invited me to come with her as companionship, so we could admire and of course eat Pure Pasty’s beautiful treats together! They truly had everything a lover of sweets could ask for! Probably the hell for all diabetics and dentists, but a paradise for all the foodies under us!

Next to magnificently decorated cakes and tarts one could devour exotic variants of macarons. Have you ever tried a rosewater macaron? Me neither instead but I’m sure it would have tasted amazing! I opted for classic vanilla a pure piece of heaven. But next time I will try to be a bit more adventurous with their precipitated macaron varieties and try out some new sorts. Overall it was a wonderful evening with super delicious sweets and nice people in a pleasant atmosphere and location!
